2nd Boer War sevice records

Good evening all.

Just a quick question.  Other than paying out to Fold3 is there anywhere Boer war (2nd) service records can be accessed?  I am trying to find the records for my Great Grandfather, Thomas William Turner and the below looks a close match but was wondering if there was another source??

Service number 700, City of London Imperial Volunteers, Roll - WO100/231 QSA Clasps: P,J,CC.
