I can’t find them in censuses yet  :-\

Thomas Markey married Mary Ennis in 1894 - you can find his marriage. There is something written under his father’s name which I can’t quite make out.

Alive

I thought it said ‘alien’  ::) (as in not Irish)

That crossed my mind as well, it's a bit odd if it is alive as the others on the page only record if dead. It would be worth looking if it is the same Registar on each entry on the page, and maybe earlier and later pages.

Or it could be the habit of different priests to note only the living or only the dead

Patrick Nicholson married Lily Hoey in 1921 and had Margaret Markey as one of his witnesses
