According to the "History of Toronto..." (which can be found on the internet), Eldridge Stanton originally had a shop on King Street East and in 1881 it was moved to 134 Yonge Street.

I was interested in your post as in 1881, a number of my ancestors worked in the neighbourhood; one in particular had a shop at 126-28 Yonge.  Should you not be familiar with Toronto research, I may be able to offer guidance.  Kind regards, Lisa
Thank you Lisa. According to jim1 the date could be late 1870s-1880s. If Stanton only opened his studio in 1881, then that seems to narrow the time down to the 1880s. Do you know how long the studio ran for?
