 or he could have been born in Sicily.

Nello could be Nunzio Salvitori (could have been born in Sicily)
( name is still unsure)
He had an industrial accident about 1956 in Sydney Australia and lost an arm
He died 23rd July 1990 in Melbourne Australia

Wonder how I could find out about the industrial accident 1956/57.
He may have worked for company ICI
He was a bricklayer  perhaps.(details are sketchy)

I did find a reference to death 23rd July 1990 Dormant Cemetery Melbourne Australia.
also his spouse, Caterina Givoje  born in Croatia 1922. Died 2000.

Hi all.
I am ilaria.  I am the daughter of Nello and Caterina Salvatori.
They met in 1966 married on 29/1/1967.  I was born later that year.
Dad was born in a small Italian village Arnara in the province of Frosinone Italy.   He came to Australia in 1952.  He was. Self employed builder.  He was a doting husband and the best dad I was so honoured to be his one and only child. 
Mum came from a small island in the Adriatic Sea called Lastovo.   
Mum came to Australia in1962.  She initially worked as a full time nanny/housekeeper for the well known Pratt Family.   
They both raised me to be the good catholic girl by sending me to catholic kindergarten &scools in Richmond run by the Italian and FCJ nuns.
Both my parents suffered a great deal in the last few years of their lives due to succumbing to cancer.  Mum suffered on and off for 18 yrs to breast cancer and dad suffered for 5 yrs to lung cancer.

Also the speculation that dad had a injury to his arm that never happened.  Before he got cancer he was a very fit man.
