Hannah Morris/William Chambers
« on: Saturday 02 June 18 15:22 BST (UK) »
In his will written 13 Feb 1838 Richard Morris (1755-Aug 1840) of Golftyn, Northop left the bulk of his estate to his son William. There was a bequest of £12 to his daughter Sarah Morris and another £12 to 'my daughter Hannah the wife of William Chambers'. Help please, this is the only reference I can find for Hannah Morris/Chambers.

The information I have for Hannah's parents and siblings is summarised below:

Mother Catherine Lamb (1762-1836) married Richard Morris, Chester, 18 Nov 1785.
Other children - all baptised Northop - Mary (1788), John (1790), Catherine (1792), Thomas (1796), Richard (1798), William (1800), Sarah (1802), Robert (1805), Susannah (1807).

Thanks in advance.

just found her in 1861 by searching for William, and yes, she is Susannah. No children with them in '41, '51 or '61.

Many thanks osprey and rosie99, you do seem to have solved it. Though I struggle to understand how the names Hannah and Susannah can be so interchangeable!

I still can't find their marriage either.

Her name was obviously shortened to Anna (the alternative I suppose would have been Susan)  The spelling of Anna is variable  ;D
