Poole,Dorset
« on: Saturday 02 June 18 20:31 BST (UK) »
I went to school in Poole in 1953 and I was only 6. I remember getting a Coronation mug. The school I went to was an infants school. I went down the "zig zag to get to it. It had a brick wall around the school but cannot remember what it was called. Any help gratefully received.

Poole Museum or the Dorset History Centre might be able to help.

Have you tried looking on Google Earth?

Found mention of a Zig-Zag path at Highcliffe Castle?

Or maybe the one at Branksome?

St. Peters School in Parkstone had a wall around it and there was a path from the nearby church as I remember.  Went there in the late 50's myself.  Not sure if the building is still there though.
