What is the work under John Hubbard ?
« on: Monday 04 June 18 15:40 BST (UK) »
I received two death certs today to help me decide which Susanna Hubbard is mine. On one of them it is hard to read the word under John Hubbard His mark. The last word is Ewell which is for the district Temple Ewell outside Dover in Kent.

Please can I borrow another set of eyes to help solve this puzzle

Thanks in advance

Occupier (presumably of the house in which she died).

The description of the information didn't usually include the job he/she did.

The description of the informant has varied with time. In the early days, the informant was one of the following

someone present at the death
someone in attendance
the occupier of a house
the master or keeper of an institution

Thank you both for your input I wasn’t sure if the first letter was a B but can now see it’s occupier. Doesn’t really help solve the mystery as my Susanna was married to a Stephen and had a son called John. One cert has Stephen, the other has John as the informer. It’s a shame both Susanna’s died after then1841census as I have no occupations to tie the family together.
