Thankyou for your reply. Have found out all l need to know from the 1939 record. Have established that the father of Nellie May Hooper was a Henry James Hooper ,Commercial traveller and that he was desceased by 1930.Hoping he may be found in 1901 census Ghis would be 4 yrs before Nellie was born. Hoping this might help me locate maybe where Nellie was born.  Thanking everyone who have assisted so far , but I appear to be getting nowhere. Eirwen

In my mind it is relevant. This Henry Hooper is also a commercial traveller. So attempting to find if he was a boarder when census taken. If so would research further. But this Henry Hooper is living with his family and children of the wrong age . So not mine, hope this clears up any questions which you might have. There are numerous Hooper.s in London but until a Henry James Hooper ,Commercial traveller is found , have hit a brick wall. Regards Eirwen.

Looking at the previous post Carol it would appear that all that is known about Henry J Hooper is that he was mentioned on his daughters marriage certificate with occ Commercial Traveller.  As far as I can see the birth of that daughter Nellie  c1905 has not been found so no birth certificate to back up information.

What Rosie has said is correct .All I know is from the marriage certificate , my thinking is that if Henry James is located in either 1901 or 1911 census then MAYBE Nellie May his daughter might have been born in the same area. Giving me a chance to locate Nellie May’s birth and so obtain the certificate. Hope this clears everything up. Regards Eirwen. ps also if the death of Henry found might be able to know his age and where he died. Maybe an obituary.
