Marriage and shipping records, England, Scotland

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction as I have struck problems researching my family member Helen Cessford.  She was born in  Rosewill, Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland on  15 Jan 1876.  She next appears in Chile in 1898 and then in London in 1907.  Somewhere in this time frame she met Alfred Vinals and possibly married him,  I cannot find any shipping records for her or a marriage for her.  I am stuck.  I have information about her from 1907 onwards but am puzzled by the missing data for 1880-1907.  Thanks in advance for any help.

What I am trying to find is a marriage record for Helen and Pedro Narciso Lorenzo Vinyals Furriol.  The record which would show her journey from Scotland to Chile and back to England.  In Chile in 1897 Helen and Pedro had a daughter, Isabella, a son Salvador born 1900, twin daughters, Victoria and Lily born 1901, then in London, England a daughter Evelyn born 1907, a son Richard born 1912, a daughter Frances born 1913.  I think Helen met Pedro in Scotland and perhaps emigrated to Chile either with or without him.  He owned a ship and traded Cork, so I am not sure if he actually emigrated.  He shows up on the birth records I have copies of in Chile as being the father but not much else.  I have been able to find records of the families emigration to America in 1914.  Thanks for your help.

I am not sure if a marriage occured at all of if there was one out of Scotland in Chile.  Pedro seems to be very inventive around his relationships and somehow the children born of his first marriage eneded up living with Helen and him in London.  This is why I am hoping to track down some shipping records.  The parents names recorded on the birth certificate in Chile of Lily and Victoria were    Alfredo Vinals Ferrol and Margarita Cessford de Vinals .  The children from the first marriage lived with Pedro and Helen in England until they grew older, they thought their surname was Cessford.  I realise this makes it complicated, but if I could find some sort of records it may point me in the right direction.  I just don't know where to look.
