That is also what I see if I look for the home page. I usually go straight to the search pages with bookmarks.

I tend to go to the search page or the  A-Z of all records but when the query came up, I monitored what my home page looked like and it didn't change despite others having odd pages come up.

I've got the Dashboard too.  Not sure why they have changed it - not that impressed!

I do have the new dashboard but, since I am doing exactly what I did with the old home page ie. going straight to search in specific data sets, I really am not that bothered about the new set up.

The question posed  by the original poster was regarding  FindMyPast Fridays. That can be viewed with one extra click- click on blog and then latest records.

I signed out, did a survey, signed back in and got the dashboard.  Not interested in this at all.  A little mini survey came up and I made the comment that I didn't want the dashboard, I'm not a car!

I tend to stay signed in all the time.  If I need to sign in I will just go straight to the Search All Records button.

No quite sure what FindMyPast are trying to achieve with this dashboard thing.

Must say that I find some difficulty in keeping up with computer jargon.

Dashboard -

A dashboard is a control panel located directly ahead of a vehicle's driver, displaying instrumentation and controls for the vehicle's operation.

It appears to have another definition in computer talk.

It's probably their way of indicating that you have a choice of areas to which you can go.  To me it is unnecessary.

Why they couldn't just put extra buttons at the top of their website beats me.  They already have Family Tree, Search, 1939 Register, My Records, Blog and Help.  ???

All done in the name of 'improvement' presumably.  ::)

Just gone back to FindMyPast after a long absence to see if they have any additional information for some problematic relationships on Ancestry. I haven't got a current subscription and, considering the way that I have exhausted most lines of enquiry would rather use pay as you go. However, despite credits still be quoted as a payment option in the help files when you follow the "buy credits" link you only get full subscriptions.
