Rebecca Maria Clarke b1871, Beragh Co Tyrone

Hi,

I am searching for the parents and family of Rebecca Maria Clarke who was born in 1871 possibly in Beragh Co Tyrone, she may have been baptised in sixmilecross.
She married Robert Reid in 1901, but unfortunately died in childbirth in 1909.
I currently have William Clarke and Annabelle Ashfield as her parents, but so far have been unable to fully certify this, or get any further with my research, any help would be greatly appreciated!

William Clarke of Aghanagar, Clogherny, married Annabella Ashfield of Foremass, Errigal Keerogue,  on 30 May 1865 in Sixmilecross Presbyterian Church. Bachelor William was recorded as a farmer, the son of Thomas Clarke, a farmer.  Spinster Annabella was the daughter of Thomas Ashfield, a farmer.

Griffith's Valuation shows several Clarkes (including a Thomas) in Aghnagar, also a couple of Ashfields in Foremass Lower, the print date for both localities was 1860.

One of the Ashfields shown in Griffith's Valuation is a Martha Ashfield, PRONI has the following Will Calendars Index entry:
The Will of Martha Ashfield late of Foremass County Tyrone Widow who died 22 May 1891 at same place was proved at Armagh by George Smyth of Redargan in said County Farmer one of the Executors.

The Will of Thomas Clarke late of Aughnagar County Tyrone Farmer deceased who died 2 April 1875 at same place was proved at Londonderry by the oath of James Agnew of Altimoskan (Drumigle Omagh) in said County Farmer the Executor.

The will mentions '... granddaughter Martha Jane Clarke, daughter to my son William ...' - William Clarke and Annabella Ashfield did indeed have a daughter Martha Jane in 1866:

         I'm brand new to RootsChat. This is the first time I have opened and perused the site. From what I can see I'll be here more often than not.

OK you have asked about Rebecca Maria Clarke b: 14th Oct 1871. Without going through it all at this point I can let you know that she is my 1st cousin 2x removed. Her Mother is my great great aunt. Should you want further info and if you would see your way to tell me where you may fit in that would be great. By the way I'm in Australia (G'day) and was in co Tyrone last June July finding my roots as my family come from the cross.

                  I'm not sure where you fit in with the Clarke family. Are you related to this family. Are you using Ancestry.com at all. Have you done a DNA test with them. A lot of questions I know but I have a bit of an aversion to professional people earning a dollar without doing the hard work. However I suggest that you use my email address. G'day Donna, I have passed on your comments to Jamie. Anna Maggie Ashfield was my maternal aunt. She was married to Wallace Clarke 2nd Sept 1931.

I was in the Cross last June on a Roots Journey to discover my family. I shall be returning to N. Ireland this coming June to continue my search, meet and greet etc. I would be pleased to meet with you on this trip. I'll keep the address which I'm sure Judith Lyons will know how to get in touch.

Hi Donna,
I am related to Eliza-Jane Clarke (born about 1845) the daughter of John Clarke. Eliza-Jane Clarke married Thomas Ritchie in 1868 before emigrating to Australia and then New Zealand. Are they in Eliza-Jane and John in your family tree?
