I am looking for names of  parents of Alexander ( Alasdair) MacDonald ( 1754-1818). He was either born in Barra, Inverness or Eilean Shona Moidart. He left the Isle of Barra in 1790 with his wife Mary (MacIntyre) and daughter MaryAnn. He was a tenant of MacNeil. Along with 28 other families, left for Cape Breton and ended up in PEI.

Unfortunately the records here in Scotland (surviving) for Barra don't go back as far as 1750s.

Baptisms 1805 - 1856
Marriages 1812 - 1857
Deaths 1812 - 1826

There may be gaps in them too?
