William munro

Am looking for any information about my g uncle William munro  who was born in loch broom  Ross and cromarty  in 1903 1904.He left from Liverpool about 1824 on the as orca.Believed to have been involved in uranium mining.

Sorry William munro was b in loch broom  Ross and cromarty in 1903 1904 and left via Liverpool in 1924 on the as orca.

Do you have your dates a little muddled? Was he born 1803/4??

Where does the 1924 passenger list/Canada ocean arrivals form say he was going to ?  Was he travelling on his own ?

Arrived NY on ORCA 01 JAN 1923, age 20 Labourer.  Father Alexander, Ullapool.
Destination Hamilton, Bermuda.

Could have meant Ontario but who ever typed this was thinking someplace warmer.

Sailed from Southampton to New York 21/12/1923 - In transit - Going to brother Mr K J Munro Washington House. Hamilton Bermuda. Had never been in the USA before.

As I see you have been looking for other family members in Bermuda, The Bermuda Record is online and searchable by surname.

Have you got an exact date of birth for William Munro ? There is no BMD index in Canada but perhaps we can check and discount some burials.  ???
