This lady is my 4th gg maternal side...

she was born 1792 ish

Her marriage doc states Kirkby Mallory.

she married Henry Haywood...1818 in Barwell Leics.
he was a Licensed Victualler.

Sadly he is dead by 1832 and in the 1851 she is on her own.

There were four children born to the marriage and only Thomas lives to a reasonable age.. he is my direct line.

So I am looking for her parents :) and her death. 

I wondered if she maybe married again.. as her death is not coming up as a definite... ! so she may have married in her 'older age' who knows. 


any help or clue would be great.. 

ps   I HAVE marriage and the census and the births and deaths of her children etc.. so as I say .. just trying to clear Mary up.

Would love to find her parents as they are my 5ths..  on this stem. :)   thank  you

Where was she in 1851?

A fuzzy search for Mary Haywood marriage or death in Leicestershire gives many possibles and it would be useful to narrow the search.

Her marriage docs might state Kirkby Mallory because that might have been where she was living at the time of her marriage. The 1851 Census says Barwell as pob. I don't know Leicestershire so don't know how far apart the two places are.

so sorry, was called away..

Right back now..

Barwell is 5 miles from  Kirkby Mallory,   So possibly the same borough... I have the Parish reg for Barwell and Kirkby and she is not on either...
 ???

Yes in 1851 she was in Barwell as a charwoman.

The obvious places to look are Hinckley and of course Nuneaton ( which of course is Warwickshire)

it is a possible .. but not heard of it .. will google check.


No joy in any of my parish reg or any online search, under all variations of both names.. so ..looking doubtful on finding her.    ::)

Shangton is on the east side of the county, between the Langtons and Illston on the Hill. Some of mine were there for a few years before moving the few miles back to Kibworth.

I am now looking at deaths for her... and no luck as yet.. so   maybe a late in life 2nd marriage....
