newspaper article hard to read as ink looks a little smudged help?

is it ok to post the article from an old newspaper on this forum? its very hard to read and want to read exactly what it says rather than guessing wondered if anyone can help re type article for me who is more experienced

Ryan,
If you save the image, you might have a basic photography programme where you can lighten it. I am on my iPad at the moment and have done that and it is fairly easy to read. The bits that might be a bit difficult can be deduced from the context.
As xiaolu suggests, why not say what you can read or which bits are difficult.

Thanks it’s about a incident in Peterhead where an effigy and caused a disturbance  was burned on Hogmanay 1887-1888 there is another entry a week later where someone adds they never reported what was printed in the article I posted

My great great grandfather is involved

Wanted to understand more what was reported at first
