Hello Jade
For this and your other posts - have you  done any research yourself, what are the sources for these names and dates?

It will help Rootschatters immensely if you give all the information you currently have, and where you found this
Mullingar, Westmeath Ireland: Gilligan/Wall/Meagher/Maher/Gray/O'Hara/Corroon (various spellings)
Bristol: Woodman/James/Derrick
Bristol/Somerset: Saunders/Wilmot
Gloucestershire:Woodman/Mathews/Tandy/Stinchcombe/Marten/Thompson
Wiltshire: Mathews
Carmarthen: Thomas, Lewis
Australia: Mary Lewis, transportee, married Henry Brown - what happened to her?

Jade -- looking for a marriage for a Gerald Blackburn in Lincolnshire - one Gerald A Blackburn married an Edith A Randall in Lincoln Registration District in 1942.

Hence was Randall her first married name or her maiden name?

If her father was James Randall - it implies Randall was her maiden name unless she firstly married a Randall.

You could check for her on the 1939 Register to see if she is with a husband (although he may have been away as a serving soldier).

As Lisa has said -- it would be helpful if you could provide more information --- ie why do you think she was married before and how do you know her father's name is also Randall. Do you have her birth certificate or something?

Do you have her marriage certificate for the marriage to Gerald A Blackburn? Does that say she was a Spinster? Does it give other surnames for her?

OK -- she is shown as 'Single' in 1939 with her name later changed to Blackburn. Looks like 2 hidden records in the same household (ie people born after 1916) -- so these could be 2 of the children you mention.

So look for births to see if there are any in the area born with a surname of Randall who have a mother's maiden name of Randall. You could order one of the birth certs - it would at least give an address and may provide other clues.

Good find Keyboard -- prompted me to look at Deceased On Line Website (having a nerd-like status I subscribe to it!).

Gerald Aubrey Blackburn is buried in the same grave -- he was buried 4 Feb 1949 aged 50. Died at Burton? Rd Institution. Home address looks like 45, Carr St, St Faith.

Hence the couple were not married for very long. He is described as an Engineer's Slinger.

Strangely the location and address of Edith at the time of her death is covered from view - as are all the burials on that same register page.

Hi yes agree the same from Find a Grave, only additional information the site states he was b c 1898 Doncaster

Looks like he uses his middle name in 1939 Aubrey G Blackburn in Spalding, Lincolnshire and Single.

PS I can see 3 Randall/Randall births in Lincoln, the first one dies aged 1
