Bolding-Purser marriage Cople 1757
« on: Tuesday 12 June 18 12:48 BST (UK) »
Hi
I was hoping someone might be able to help with the marriage of John Bolding to Sarah Purser in Cople on 21 Nov 1757. From the neighboring entries in the transcripts series, infers that there might be more information than just that they were widowed in the original, is this possible please?
Helen

There is no further information. You can see the official transcript here https://archive.org/stream/bedfordshirepari10bedf#page/30/mode/2up

Thanks for the link to the online transcripts scans, those will prove very useful for other queries.

Unfortunately that is where I got my info from, my copy of the transcripts.

I am hoping that the original registers might have more.

It's extremely unlikely that there would be more in the originals. Emmison, the transcriber, transcribed everything and collated, where possible, the PRs with the BTs and noted any differences. If you really want to see the original, you will need to contact Bedfordshire Archives. The original register is not available to the general public, but it might possibly be on the Cople marriage microfiche, as some parishes (but by no means all) have the marriages filmed from 1754 onwards (as opposed to the standard start date of 1813).

Hi
Can anyone tell me at what date pre-printed marriage registers were used in Bedfordshire - the pre-civil registration style with several to a page?
