Schedule B.- Marriages for Onieda Div. of Haldimand Co. ON record 003278

I would like to locate this marriage record for Andrew Smith (1823-1888) and Alexanderina McKay (1827-1856) electronically or in hard copy.

[Note that Oneida is spelled incorrectly in this reference; it may be spelled correctly or incorrectly in the actual record. I have also seen Alexanderina spelled in various ways.]

Where are you getting this reference?  In the timeframe in which they were married, there were no counties in Canada West (Ontario).  The province was divided into districts. Not sure what district Oneida would have been in.  Would have to check that.

I think Haldimand County was in Niagara District until 1849... but, looking at the records from Archives of Ontario... it appears that Haldimand County (including Oneida Township) marriage records for 1842-1855 are included in the Gore District Marriage register...

I had a look in Gore District, Volume 5 (the index to the marriage records found in Gore District, Volume 4).  I don’t see either Andrew or Alexandrina listed. 

The information from the Archives of Ontario site says that District boundaries were very fluid, so perhaps the marriage was registered in a neighbouring District?

Figured it out.  Record #003278 refers to the marriage of Jessie Smith to Joseph Walker in 1876 -- the image does indicate it is a Schedule B - Marriage, Haldimand County, Oneida Township.

Jessie's parents noted as Andrew & Alexandrina Smith. Witnesses were Robert Smith and Thomas Laidlaw, both of Walpole Township. Date is February 23, 1876 in Walpole.
