Again - I wake up to wonderful discoveries.. 

I spent ages chasing a Freda Schiller's divorce yesterday? 

I saw it said Icelandic on one of the census returns.

And I did manage to get a couple of the original news printed articles.. re Obits.

This is now a lovely 'chapter' family tree.

So .. the Obit for Gladys says her Mom was Olafson not Schiller... good job I didnt follow that through.

Hi,

I found all of the obits on findmypast...in their newspaper collection.  I have the US version.  If your version has access to American and Canadian papers, you can find all of the originals :) :)

Using the link below for the telephone directory.....

Using the info for the informant of Gladys McCreery's burial (name and address) you can find an apparent entry for the person with current contact info. Just put the last name in the person box and town name plus BC in the location box. Appears to still be living so don't want to post too many details here. If you have a problem let me know. There is also another possible contact in the location mentioned near the top of the death record.
