Help needed with uniform, is it a Welsh Guards one ?

Grenadier Guards

Grenade badge on collar and and equally spaced buttons on the tunic.

First thing that came to me, given that you are possibly looking at a Welsh connection is Royal Welsh Fusiliers (pre WW1)
Do you have any idea who he might be?

Thank you fro answering, it was with  a lot of  family photos given by a cousin, it has sapper L Hayward 25, Carne Street Rhondda  written by photo, if so he is a first cousin,

Sapper is the  Royal Engineers, the equivalent of a Private in the Infantry.

Royal Engineers also have Grenade collar badges.
Photo could be earlier than WW1.

Hi Jebber and Tony,

Thank you both,  I wonder if it is Walter W Hayward born 1886 the father of L (leonard  ) Hayward  who i find was born 1912, so the age would rule out him as being in WW1 if that be the case of the Uniform,

There are records on Findmypast for a Walter William HAYWARD in the Royal Engineers, he was born in Cardiff, but born c1891/2.

I'm afraid it is too late for me to search further tonight, my bed calls.

Hi Jebber,

Thank you, cannot be  my Walter Hayward, as he was born Ystradyfodwg, the gentleman in uniform could be my uncle Leonard Cook who  was in the royal Engineers, a he was in the retreat from the Mons enlisted in Treorchy and lived with his sister and brother-in-law in the address mentioned above in first post,
