The death of Alice Martin (b. 1913) in 1927, note the informant's details - 'J Martin father 6 O'Hara's Cottages':
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1927/04981/4357982.pdf

The O'Hara's Cottages address in these various records is starting to 'tie in' better the 1932 marriage of Emily Martin back to James Martin and Alice O'Brien of Portobello Square.

Marriage of Emily's sister Elizabeth (Lizzie b. 1909 and shown in the 1911 census return for house 2.3 Portobello Square) to Francis Jenkins  in 1929? (same address as Emily in her 1932 marriage registration  - 6 O'Hara's Cottages, also, Emily Martin a witness)

The death of Alice Martin, labourer's wife, in 1932, the informant was James Martin, there's that '6 O'Hara's Cottages' address again, the reported age was 47 which is in the ballpark for the Alice (O'Brien) Martin shown in the 1911 census return for house 2.3 in Portobello Square (already posted):

James Martin then remarried, to Teresa Harding in 1935:

The death of Elizabeth (Thompson) Martin, wife of James Martin senior, at Portobello Square in 1912, the informant was Alice Martin (maybe daughter-in-law, ie. James junior's wife Alice O'Brien?):

Thank you so much everyone for such prompt and informative responses.  You've all been a great help.  I live in New Zealand and have just woken up to such a lovely surprise.  I've messaged my Aunt in England and she said Granny did have a sister Elizabeth, who lived in Harold's Cross, so that gives the connection I've been looking for.  We have Granny's birth certificate and marriage certificate, so we're sure about her details but we didn't have any information for the rest of the family.  We did know that Granny's Mum died and her Dad remarried but we didn't know the name of her Mum or Step-Mum, we just knew that the family called their Step-Mum Teasy, which fits with Theresa.  I'm going to go through all this new information that you've so kindly provided and fill in some big gaps for my Aunt and Cousins.  Thank you once again.  I've been banging my head against a brick wall on this for ages.
