Hi rosie 99,

He died age 90yrs 20/5/1940 at Ty'r Capel farm Tirphil,  buried in Bedwellty St Sannons Churchyard, his birth would be 1849/50, that is all i have to go on , not much i know,

Who was the informant on his death certificate

Free search of 1939 register for Lewis in Gelligaer UD has
Lewis Williams 1850
Alice Whitney 1875

probate gives his death as 18 May 1940 and grant was to Thomas Charles Williams of no occupation.

Yes that it the right family, i have no idea who informant at his death was,was i found the info i gave in an old paper, nothing else about him as funeral was private it said,

I think the Thomas Charles Williams from the probate record was the nephew of Lewis, son of his older brother Charles
