Hello

I've been very clever!  Just found the marriage with signature. Both signed, very clear. Now just waiting on another document in the post.

If you contact Lancashire Record Office police records you can request his details from 1853 to 1856. Should confirm his age ,place of birth ,physical description, rank.

Sarah Park is possibly sister to my ancestor John Park born 1784 son of William Park and Jane Rigg. William Park of Killington is mentioned in the will of William Park of Storth End 1805. I cant find my copy of the will at the moment so check out the Park posts on Westmoreland.

Sue
Ps I was interested in your post because my great grandfather Joseph Thompson born in Grayrigg was constable in Bamford 2 miles from Bury. His mother was Ann Farrer born Sedbergh. I can t see any connection.

Hello Suzy
Yes, will certainly contact Lancashire R.Office and obtain more details.  Quite exciting.  Still working away at connections, so will keep an eye out for anything else, re the Farrer and Park family.
