Could it relate to BLA (Burial Laws Amendment)?

By the Burial Laws Amendment Act 1880, the bodies of persons entitled to be buried in parochial burial grounds, whether churchyards or graveyards, may be buried there, on proper notice being given to the minister, without the performance of the service of the Church of England, and either without any religious service or with a Christian and orderly religious service at the grave.
The prime motive of the Burial Laws Amendment Act 1880, was to remove a grievance felt by non-conformists, especially in rural districts.

It was under the Burial Laws Amendment Act 1880, that facilities were granted to non-conformist (i.e.dissenting) ministers to carry out burials in the C of E churchyard, not using the rites of the Church of England, but those of the particular denomination involved.

Stan, are you saying the doc. relates to the Burial Laws Amendment?

If so, why would there be a need for 'BLA' to be used almost 40 yrs later?

The Parish Register of Burials apparently states that the burial in the churchyard was by a (non-conformist) minister under the  Burial Laws Amendment Act 1880. As I said facilities were granted to non-conformist (i.e.dissenting) ministers to carry out burials in the C of E churchyard, not using the rites of the Church of England, but those of the particular denomination involved.
The OP does not say where this register is from.
