Hello All,

The death notice in Victoria, Australia says Martin was 71 when he died, which means his birth was in 1834.
An online family tree has his birth date as 2 September 1834.
How do you find an exact birth date for this era?
The online Parish Registers do not have this year.

That is brilliant thank you.

But how did you know to look at Woodford? I had ploughed through Ballinakill. I had looked up the parish for Derrygoolin and that gave me Ballinakill.
Thank you for your time; I shall now look for his brothers and sisters.

Derrygoolin is in both parishes.
