Thomas John MARTIN and Fanny COLLINS - marriage

Hello,
Looking for a marriage date/place for Thomas John MARTIN to Fanny COLLINS.

Thomas was born c1864 in Camberwell, London (parents John & Hannah according to his death registration)

Fanny was born in 1870 in Denchworth, Berkshire (parents James & Emma)

The 1911 census they were residing at 139 Kings Rd, Reading, Berks. They had been married for 21 years and had four children (one deceased). Their children Elsie b1893, Thomas Herbert b1896 and Alfred bc1898 all in Fulham, London were living with them.

From when the 1911 census was taken and prior to January 1914 (when their son Thomas commenced working for the NSW Railways in Sydney) the family migrated to Australia.

Not the marriage - but have you seen this?

Thomas  in 1881 I think - the occupation is a match  for the later Census when he's with Fanny.

This Thomas is not at home in 1891 - but I think he could be in Staffordshire.  Shall I post it up* ? Just asking first, in case you have already got the details on hand.

added: (As well as seeing the George MARTIN family all through Census, marriage etc - wife Hannah's maiden name RATTENBURY, married 1850).

Should have mentioned that I am not related to any of these people. My husband and I are volunteers who are researching a WW1 Roll of Valour for the NSW Railways Stores Branch (which is displayed at Central Railway Station in Sydney) where Fanny & Thomas' son, Thomas (known as Herbert) appears.

Our aim is to write individual profiles - war service and family background - of each of the 82 names on the Roll.

I'm pretty convinced Thomas John of your query is the one found in 1881 with  parents.

In 1888  the father is down as George John for daughter Alice Sophia's marriage
In 1898 he is down as John George on the marriage of son Alfred.
In 1901, he is down as George John on daughter Sarah Beatrice's marriage.

All these marriages took place in St Peter Fulham -  the same church where 'your' Thomas and Fanny's daughter Elsie May was baptised in 1893.

Filmer Road was a family address on more than one occasion.

Marriage is hiding well, if it happened

If it is "Fanny (Frances) Collins probably in 1891 Fulham RG12 /47 f134 p34 age 21 born Wantage, Berkshire" then they hadn't been married for 21 years as stated on C1911.

For anyone who may be looking for Thomas Herbert (known as Herbert) MARTIN jnr. he was employed as a store boy at the NSW Railways Eveleigh stores branch on 6 Jan 1914, was granted leave to enlist AIF WW1 - service #7071 - and returned to the Railways after he was discharged from war service. He resigned on 25 Apr 1937.
 
Herbert married Jessie Alma LEES on 29 Sept 1920 (NSW BDM #16344) in Sydney. He also served during WW2 - service #NX117463.

He died on 01 Nov 1971 (NSW BDM #65056) at Solider's Point (town on the central coast of NSW).

Herbert's father died on 27 Nov 1931 (NSW BDM #19915) in Sydney. 

His mother, Fanny, married Henry HOPE in 1938 (NSW BDM #19720) in Sydney. She died on 13 Oct 1956 in Sydney (NSW BDM #31639).

Fanny, Elsie, Herbert and Alfred left London, England, on the steamship Norseman on 10 Jan 1913 (not 1st Oct).
They arrived into Sydney on 4 Mar - see Sydney Morning Herald 4 Mar 1913 p.10 (available for free viewing on TROVE)
