Il have a look at that , going by 1891 census looks like William and Mary Adams had a baby as Wm JAs Adam McDonald is registered as gd son birth about 1883 age 8
Residing 13 Forbesfield road Aberdeen with James Adams 61 Helen Adams 54 March McDonald 25 - which I think is slightly out but it’s still her , Jamima Adams 18 and as mentioned above wm jas Adam McDonald

Cannot see the family at that address on the 1881 Census. There's a Helen Adams, age 42 with a Mary Adams, age 21 (born c. 1860) at 47 Skene Street, Old Machar on the 1881 Census. Helen's status "married" but husband not at home. Same household Jemima Adams age 9.
