"there are 2 Petty Sessions records of a Cornelius Lannen in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim in 1855" ....but what details are on them??

Hallmark, I'm not registered with findmypast yet, but Family Search showed a petty sessions record on May 11, 1855 and one on May 25th in the court of Carrick-on-Shannon. He was the defendant in both.

The only real option is to search     Baptisms 1839/40    in each Leitrim Parish...

Well you have, from Census, a 70 y.o. one in Kiltoghert Parish.

Have you looked through Kiltoghert Parish registers??7
I haven't, other than a few maps and headlines. I suppose I need to Google a list of parishes and go through each one.

There is a basic filter there... most names seem to be underlined in some registers!
