I have eventually received a reply from the French record office with the following:
Charlotte Marie Delahaye
Born 1/8/1923
Father Lucien Arsène Delahaye aged 28
Mother Antoinette Clarisse Marie Launey aged 26

How do I find Charlotte’s grandparents?

 Antoinette Clarisse Marie LAUNEY was born in Cherbourg on November 4th 1896 to Pierre François LAUNEY, 27 years old, and Marie Mélanie Rosalie PILLET, 25 years old.

She married Lucien Arsène DELAHAYE in Tourlaville in 1918 (25/MAY/1928). She passed away in Valognes in 1988.

One of her siblings was Pierre Auguste LAUNEY born in Cherbourg on December 12th 1900. He married Léone ORANGE.
