I get you. The census says Richard Flood was born in Meath and not Kildare.

That and the fact his father was a Herd.
Also the other Richard living with Jane Keogh and married to an Ellen.

So...are both deceased??

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

I should have said we believe it's the wrong family.
Need to read the full thread, there is a twist.

Hi Daithi,
From what i know that is the census in 1911 on Arran Quay of my grandfather and that is most definitely his marriage cert to my grandmother Margaret.
Now Richard Flood working in Guinness and dying in 1949 i don't know. My father never knew or met his grandparents in Dublin but the address seems correct as does his age. I see it says Richard was a widower so Mary Anne had died by 1949.
I'm so confused by the whole thing now.

Hi Paul
           been down that road myself
my own grandfather married twice giving two different sets of parents i spent a small fortune on birth certs etc chased him all over the place traced his siblings except one who i had a topic on here that left me devastated, as a relative of this man posted on the topic that the man i thought was my grandfather infact never left Wexford,he married and died there so could not have been in Dublin since circa 1894 i am still none the wiser.

This i believe is Richard's brother Joseph born 1880
