Genetic genealogists trace foundling's roots
« on: Wednesday 20 June 18 09:22 BST (UK) »
Apologies if already posted somewhere, but I just found this to be a fascinating story about a stolen child, a foundling who turns out not to be that child, and the part that genetic genealogists have played in pursuing the truth:

I think the book would be a great read.  The thing is too, the story is far from over, the stolen child remains a mystery.

I was initially surprised (but shouldn't have been) by the key involvement of the genealogists, on top of their DNA knowledge, the wider skill set of research, investigation etc. makes them an obvious resource in such cases.

What a gripping story which will give other foundlings/adoptees etc. hope of tracing their biological parents.
