 I take it no one can find the actual baptism of Daniel? Also I would like to find more information about Evan his father do you think I should post a new look up for this?
I have found the info given above but only on Find my past except the 1841 census which showed up on ancestry once I put the unusual spelling in.

no baptisms in the established church showing up for the Humphreys children, so family possibly non-conformist.

Hi again, you may be aware that Daniel occ Labourer married an Anne Bowen 27th March 1852 Cillybebyll Glamorgan, Father Evan occ Labourer
Son David Bowen Humphries baptism 10th June 1860 occ Weaver address Lodge, Cilllybebyll

Thank you osprey and keyboard yes I have the baptism of David Bowen and Daniel's marriage . My problems start going further back and the baptism of Daniel has been a brick wall for me so I am looking at it again. I don't suppose Evans baptism shows up either.
Was wondering about non conformists that long ago as I haven't really explored that avenue yet.

do you have the death certificate for Evan to give a clue about his age? Margaret shows as married in 1851 and widow in 1861. There's a possible burial in Dowlais 10 April 1855 for Evan Humphreys aged 60, death reg june qtr 1855 Merthyr Tydfil vol 11a pg 192. Marriage was 1824 so birth would have been earlier than 1808.

Thank you Osprey I have no information on death for Evan and just the info I have been given on this topic about Margaret . I was coming to the conclusion he was probably older. So I'll have a look at the info and see how I get on.

thank you all for info so far after a few weeks of family visiting I am back on the search. can anyone find a 1851 census for Evan Humphreys? I am now looking at his birth being about 1800.
I find it odd that he is not on the census with his wife and she is shown as a pauper, wondering if he has either died by then, even though it says she is married, or he is in prison somewhere.
I am now going to do some research on Daniels siblings to see if anything comes up pointing me in the right direction.
Any advice is appreciated. thanks
