George Marshall. Sister Katie /Catherine withers.
« on: Friday 22 June 18 04:32 BST (UK) »
Surnames: Marshall withers
I was wondering if anyone had any information on a George Marshall in the area around 1939. Probably born around 1920?
He had a sister named Katie (or Catherine) who married a DOUGLAS Terence withers in 1945.
I know he died sometime after 1966 of cancer I think.

This is all the information I have, but he is my grandfathers biological father and we are trying to find out some information on him. If anyone could help that would be great.
Thanks
Samantha

Hi there is a death for a Catherine Withers other name Marshall in 1988 Ardrie age 66 mothers ms Hadden
There are 4 other deaths of Marshall with mothers ms Hadden but no George between 1974 and 2006
There is a marriage between a Richard Madden and Elizabeth Hadden in 1901 Coatbridge
There are births in Coatbridge with corresponding names and dates to those 5 deaths but the only one I can find for a George is in 1914
All these can be found on the Scotlands People website

Hello wendy ;D
Thanks so much for your help. I have looked on scotland's people and all I can find is a marriage certificate for Douglas Terence withers and Catherine. Only when I search his name tho.  ???
When I search the parents names you gave I'm getting 'no results' for every search as well :( I'm not even getting any results on ancestry or anything.
I'll keep searching the information u have given me on other sites n see if I can find anything.

Again, I appreciate your help a lot. Thank u  :)

I think Wendy meant to put Richard Marshall you should get a result now ...You won't find the marriage on Ancestry 1901 unless someone has a copy on their tree..

Ah ok thank u, I see what you guys mean now. I found those records with the mother's last name as hadden. I've been in touch with the people from scotlandspeople and even they are at a loss with this.
The only way I can see for sure is to fork out the money for Catherine's marriage certificate, but it still won't give me answers to George.  :-[
Thank you both so much for your help. I really appreciate it :)

Catherine's marriage certificate, still won't give me answers to George.  :-[

Can someone please clarify who we are looking for?
Is it Richard Marshall b c 1920?

"I know he died sometime after 1966" Was this Douglas?

"he is my grandfathers biological father"

Can someone please clarify who is the biological father?

Sorry but I'm a bit confused by how it's written out  ::)
