Closest I'm finding for the Aberdeen area is the surname Angus.

Angely seem to be Borders of Scotland areas.

If you search Sp with ang**** using the 'wild cards allowed' option there's a few variations to consider although you will need to add in the dates you're searching or leave it wide open for all?

Only two Angely names on Free BMD (England and Wales). Alexander died Longtown, Cumberland area, March Qtr. 1843.


Robert married Plymouth, Devon area, Sept. Qtr. 1845.

No mention of Angely or similar in G F Black The Surnames of Scotland
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hi being a Scottish Angely it is pronounced (ANGEL - AY)
Although the proper French is (An-gel-ee)
If you have a Scottish DNA trace it will be us.
