« on: Saturday 23 June 18 02:07 BST (UK) »
Evening

Can someone please decipher the writing for this Roman Catholic baptism record?

I have so far:

Surname: Bellew
Name: Catharina (Julia)?
Born: 27 Nov 1826
Baptised: 10 Dec 1826
Father: Patt
Mother: Anne

It's:  baptiz(?)* fuit Catharina filia = was baptized Catherine the daughter

* Not sure of the word ending written.  Normally it's baptizata fuit.

The father will be the genitive form of Patricus , which is Patrici.  So I think Pat(ric)i rather than Patt.

After Bellew are two words similar to:  conf(?) Patrici

I'm not sure exactly what they are, but they should identify the godparents or witnesses.

Those names are:  Gulelmus Malony et Maria Collins = William Malony and Mary Collins.

Somebody should be along eventually to provide the full transcript.

HD has already deciphered the essentials, but ...

Die 27 Nov: 1826 nata et die 10 Dec: 1826
baptizata fuit Catharina filia
Pat(ricii) et Ann(ae) Bellew conj(ugum) Patrini
fuer(unt) Gulelmus Malony et Maria
Collins – a me J. Law, M.A.

On the 27th day of November 1826 was born and on the 10th day of December 1826 was baptized Catherine, daughter of Patrick and Ann Bellew, married couple; godparents were William Malony and Mary Collins – by me, J. Law, M.A.
