What could be interesting is that there is no reference to Violet Dene from July 1894 until August 1896 in the newspapers (that I can see).

Napier Edward Lewis Pearce/Keogh was born 12 Jan 1895, wonder if Violet was his mother?

I had the feeling that Napier may have been the illegitimate son of Edward born 1877. It also crossed my mind that there was a possibility Edward b 1877 could well be the son of Edward Keogh.

Great find....This seems to be the proof that Violet Dene likely married James Lindsay, and is with her mother Kate in 1911.  It also confirms that Kate is/was Patience Keturah.

first performance in NZ (of The Little Stranger) was scheduled for 12 Dec 1906 and it looks as thought the last was in Waihi at the end of January 1907.
In June 1907 the NZ papers report they are in Queensland

One of the papers confirmed that Violet Dene was married to James Lindsay (but they could equally have pinched that from the Australian papers)

I was wondering whether Willy PARKE, the child star of The Little Stranger and whose mother was played by Violet DENE (and father's friend by James LINDSAY) could in fact be the child of Violet DENE.

He was a precocious youngster of 9 years.
