That family tree shows Spencer Chaplin b Ipswich a1826 as only having 1 child

So the relation must be thru
Shadrach Spencer b1814 Suffolk

I don't know where b i l family originated

Eric Alfred b 1923 lived in London 1939
** married in Harrow middlesex1951.
Died in Surrey 1996

In 1851 he is a brewer (master )

In 1861 an inn keeper with another son Henry

So plenty of descendents to follow

1st person to find an Alfred gets a gold star !

That's fantastic  Cas
I've been looking  at shadrach 2  as the article calls him

I had found that he went back to his father's trade and was a bootmaker aged 67 in 1881 & a clog maker in 1891

But have some conflicting information about his wife as I think  Sophie died in Ipswich in 1868 

his wife in 1881 and 1891 is Susan

So I wonder if  his children  got inheritance from 2nd wife

I'm presuming    Shadrach 2 siblings Mesach Abednego are boys names
