Edward Whitney (1867- ) of Redditch
« on: Sunday 24 June 18 03:38 BST (UK) »
Hello--
Trying to find out what happened to Edward Whitney, born Shropshire, 1867.
He married Sarah Ann Huntley at Feckenham in 1892. Sarah died in 1930.
They had 4 children: Harold (listed as Carole ? in 1901)(b. c. 1894), Florence (b. c. 1895), Edith (b. c. 1897) and Stanley (b. c. 1899).
Lived at Feckenham in 1901. May be buried at Redditch.
Thanks.

Edward was still in Feckenham in 1939 - I can't see a death for Edward in the Bromsgrove Reg District that covers Feckenham/Redditch, but there is this possible with first name Thomas  :-\

I can't see this person pre 1944

Thomas E Whitney Age:    76
Dec Qtr 1944    Bromsgrove Vol    6c Page 265

Hello--
Thank you. I appreciate your help. That is funny--but I never heard that
his first name may have been Thomas---Thomas Edward.
Thank you again.

Hi Stephen,

Just to muddy the waters there was an Edward C. WHITNEY registered in Birmingham in the 2nd quarter of 1968, aged 89.  Who would be around to know what was his actual DoB if he had gone to a nursing home?

You'll probably need a death certificate, and/or a Monumental Inscription.
