What happened to John Vignaux LIGHTFOOT
« on: Wednesday 27 June 18 22:16 BST (UK) »
I have the following baptism:

Our Lady and St. Nicholas, Liverpool
b. 16/09/1808
bapt. 16/10/1808
John Vignaux son of William Lightfoot, Lumber Street, waiter and Mary nee Underwood, his wife

I'd really love to learn what happened to John Vignaux. I haven't been able to find a death/burial, a marriage or anything on the census.

Also, curious about the unusual name; Vignaux.

Anybody able to spot something I've hopefully missed?

Many thanks in anticipation, Rowan Tree  :)

It looks like he died in infancy but his middle name wasn't recorded

Liverpool Lancashire
Bishops Transcripts (image)
Burial 1 Jun 1809
John Lightfoot
son of William Lightfoot occ labourer & Mary
address Lumber St

it seems Vignaux is a surname - maybe a Vignaux married a Lightfoot or an Underwood?

There seems to be at least 2 generations of Joseph VIGNAUX (both surgeons) and family in Liverpool at the time - the younger Joseph (a surgeon of Hanover St) and his first wife Elizabeth (RATCLIFFE) and 2nd wife Mary Ann CRAICK (who then married Edward BRENNAN after Joseph's death). Could be related somewhere, or possibly a godparent?
