Family of Dinah Pendleton

Hi All,
I am looking to trace the parents and any possible siblings of a Dinah Pendleton born December 1872 in Manchester. She married a James Henry Foley in Manchester in 1893 but I cannot find her in either the 1881 or 1891 census.

Do you have her birth certificate?

The only Dinah Pendleton I can see on the GRO site was registered March 1873 Chorlton 8c 646 mmn Nowland

I guess that's her but sorry.... what does "mmn Nowland" mean?

The GRO site gives the Mother's Maiden Name (mmn) as Nowland

Hello,
Lancashire BMD shows the birth with mother Norrland.
There is a Margaret Elizabeth born 1870 with mother Nolan and indeed several other children before and after this.

This looks like the family in 1871 3980/90/32

I can’t see the family in 1881 but looks like there was a death of a child about that time.

In the household of his son Samuel, also a Green Grocer

I think that should read aged 59 years and aged 60 years, rather than married.
