Have you located the actual marriage record?  Or is this inferred from John's baptism?

This is just a note to say thanks again for all your assistance and the information & links provided. 
It was much more than I had expected would be available.

I used the Griffith maps to locate Garrett's property in Ballyfinnane also constructed a map of the townlands of family members.  I've incorporated your info and the map into a document I prepared for a friend and believe she will be very pleased.

I will close the post in a few days to get it off the active board.
