There is definitely some missing Baptisms for these Suttons or the case of children not being baptised.
I've found another child for John Sutton and Elizabeth Pool who also has no Baptism.
William Sutton born abt 1817 Barlestone living with mother Elizabeth Sutton (Nee Pool) in 1851, Also lists his father as John Sutton, Labourer on his marriage.
William Lists he is born in Barlestone on all census records and around 1817 but I can see no record for him, Same as Sarah.

Hello

I cannot see this Marriage entry.

However, do we know if this is a Bishops Transcript (B.T.) Copy, effectively a duplicate copy of the original in the Parish Marriage Register (B.T. - the whole entry all written, including signatures in the same handwriting)?

Or are these, their actual signatures of the wedding witnesses (in different hands), from the Parish Register?

If this is a B.T. Copy, perhaps the copy with the actual witness signatures on, is worth acquiring? Some online sites have both?

The snip that I put up (and I presume the OP put up) are from online images from the parish register.  It is a post Sept  1837 Registration and takes the form of the standard marriage certificate.

The writing on the entry is clearly in different hands. I'm not sure what you are concerned about.

If you have seen original Wills copied into a Wills Register and compared the Copy Will, with the original Will bundle you would understand my concerns. Some Wills Registers have terrible spelling errors and assumptions of word spelling, when compared with the original Will, the Testator made.

If original signature, to me the person has signed Slinar SUTTON (suggested previously).

The signer writes SUTTON nice and definitely and I would think the person knows how to spell his/her forename?

Trying this name in Google and there is a person using Slina Sutton in another country. So a viable name variant still in recent use.

Selena Sutton burial of 1839 gives a birthdate of 1811.
Seeing as we know that there seems to be some discrepancies with recorded baptisms i.e William Sutton and Sarah Sutton of Barlestone. John Sutton married Elizabeth Pool 1810...Is it possible that Selina is a daughter and she has no baptism record same as William and Sarah?

This would make her sister of Sarah and a likely witness to her marriage?

It does seem a good possibility i.e. maybe her death would hold a clue regarding informant/address as it's quite likely a family member was the informant given her age & assuming she was single?

It may be worth checking out 1st whether a Sutton married a Selena (whichever spelling) too?

There are 2 other John Suttons baptising in the vicinity of Barlestone. Both around Ratby.
A John and Jane Sutton but these dont start baptising till 1833 so these cant be Sarah's parents.
A John and Sarah seem to baptise a few children Blaby but their daughter Sarah is born 1813 Blaby and is with them on the 1841/51 census records.
So the John and Elizabeth in Barlestone seems to be correct.

I checked that also 'Great minds think alike'  ;)

Only one I can see is a James marrying a Selina Allen in Lincolnshire 1836. This family seems to stay in Louth, Lincolnshire and James Sutton is listed as born in Lincolnshire too.
