Delaney/Mitchell/Rouse of Queen's County
« on: Friday 29 June 18 18:32 BST (UK) »
I am seeking information on:
Bridget Mitchell?? Delaney - born about 1814 in Queen's County.
Mary Delaney - born about 1837-1840 in Queen's County
 P.H. Delaney - born 1841 in Queen's County
 Bridget Delaney's husband - Edward??

 Dennis Rouse - born 1835

The information I found is that Bridget Delaney's maiden name may have been Mitchell.  She was widowed in Ireland and immigrated to the US about 1848 with her children.  Two of those children were Mary Delaney born about 1837 (or 1840 by some records) and P.H. Delaney born 1841.  Husband's name is believed to be Edward Delaney.

Also seeking information on Dennis Rouse - born 1835 in Ireland as well.  I'm not sure what county he was born in.  He immigrated to the US prior to his marriage to Mary Delaney in Macomb, Illinois 12 March 1857.

I am descended from Mary Delaney and Dennis Rouse.

Thanks so much!

Welcome to Rootschat.

Which religious denomination were they?
If Roman Catholic you could try the Parish registers free on-line at

https://registers.nli.ie/#home_map    Click on the map to get the counties, then parishes.  Not all parish records start early enough but some do.

Delaney name is very numerous in Co Laois.

Best of luck
