The above married Jean Morton McDermont 1894-1963 at Wellington, Ontario, 16 Jul 1920. He was the son of John Craven b 5 Feb 1854 and Mary Ann Hardy bc 1867. After Andrew's marriage I can find no record of him at all?

Noticed the 1965 Canada Voters List showed Andrew Craven at 1 Ascot Avenue. No Jean Craven that year but an Edith Bowman -  - clerk  ???

Sandra

Added Edith was there in 1963 with both Andrew and Jean.

This is my first time on Roots Chat.
Andrew Craven was my great uncle.  He was a chiropractor in Toronto and did live at 1 Ascot Ave.
He was a wonderful person and I always looked forward to visits at our farm at Ailsa Craig Ontario  (which is very close to the farm that my ancestors cleared and settled on in the mid 1800's)from he and my Aunt Jean. He had a wealth of knowledge about McGillivray Twp. history and shared stories every time they came to visit.
He had 2 brothers - Linwood and Thomas and a sister Jane.
My Grandfather Linwood farmed in McGillivray Twp. where they were born.  Uncle Tom went to Detroit to work at the Ford plant (I think it was Ford) in 1918 when the flu epidemic killed so many people and they were short of workers. He married Aunt Mabel and he lived in Detroit for the rest of his life.  Jane married and moved to Los Angeles.
Uncle Andy and Aunt Jean didn't have any children.  Let me know what information you would like about him and I'll do my best to answer.

Hi Nancy, Andrew was my 4th cousin, once removed and I was wondering if he and Jean had any children? If they're still living don't mention them on here.
According to my tree information, Richard Linwood Craven with his wife Jane nee Wind emigrated from England to Canada in May 1843 ans was living at McGillivray in 1851; they had 8 children. I guess we could be related if your grandfather was Linwood and presume he was the one born 7 Jan 1887?
