Berinstein/Bernstein from Mariampol Russia

Hello There.

Can anyone advise me on where to look for further information on Louis Berinstein born c1863, and Nathan born c1871 at Mariampol, Russia , now Lithuania.
I believe that the boys father was Zvi Hersh. There may be other children, possibly Simon

I have searched the Jewishgen site, to no avail.


I have heard that MyHeritage may the  have information I seek. Can anyone verify this please.

Its becoming a obsession, to get another generation back, I am afraid .

This really isn't my area of expertise but i did notice a nautralistion declaration on Ancestry
Lewis Bernstain born 22.9.1858  Shishlovitz,(otherwise  Svisloch)in the Province of Grodna, Russia wife Betsey
parents Israel Myer Bernstein and Esther made and declared 4.5.1915 at 67 Lord St Liverpool.

The latter index gives him as 21.9.1856 in Birkenhead tailor wife Betsey  born 1866.
Nathan 14.3.1875 retired slipper maker ill health wife Rebecca born 1885.
So their ages do change a bit.
Is that them?

Nathan was a slipper maker, and his wife was Rebecca. Louis was a tailor.

Will investigate immediately, and let you know the results
