Hi,

This picture turned up a few years ago although sadly I do not know who it is, nor do I think there would be anyone around who could tell me... My suspicion is that it could be my Great-Great-Grandfather John William Easterby who worked as a Miner and came from North Yorkshire. If anyone could try to pin down a date on this photo and any other details which might help me to tick some boxes - I would be most grateful!

Thanks in advance!

Henning Walker

Hello Henning,

The photo seems to be taken during the Edwardian era - 1910 ish. The table the gentleman is leaning  on is an arts and crafts design - 1890's to 1910. that combined with his attire puts it at ort about 1910. But not later.

Regards

AJ

Thanks for that! Although this would make the person in question in his early 40s which means my suspicions are probably wrong!

Thank you,

Henning
