Mothers probate for 1927 is worth looking at. It states she died in Simla India but was of Newlandburn Gorebridge Midlothian.
Evelyn Caroline Marion Green , the son named in probate  was Bishop of Monmouth

On 5th Sept 1896 at Johnstown Church,Sebert St DS Green 3rd son of the Rev C Green of Halkyn Rectory North Wales and Evelyn Caroline Marion youngest daughter of Major Gorges (sic) HELY DL of

Definitely seems to be the right Stella Elise - she married an Evelyn Lennox Turner 11/3/1926 in Bengal, India but he died in 1929. Her father was an army man so they clearly travelled around.
