Maurice Finnegan Dublin
« on: Wednesday 04 July 18 21:39 BST (UK) »
Hi
I wonder if anyone can assist please
I'm trying to trace back the family of Maurice Finnegan who was from Dublin.
I've been told that they had children of which I have found Carmel (1929), Veronica (1932), George Joseph (1935), Philomena T (1936) and Aida A (1937)
I've also been told they had others that I haven't found Maurice, Dennis and Lillian (who died young)
I've managed to find his marriage to Mary Lunney in 1922 in Dublin and fully expected to find Maurice on the 1911 census but I'm only bringing up from my searches just 1 that was born in Cork in 1892.
I just don't expect this one to be him though
I'm waiting on his family providing some more information but wondered if anyone can get me further back please while I'm awaiting this?
Thanks
Phil

Welcome to Rootschat, Jennifer.

Did you read the other thread -link posted by me above?

Here is a post from there with a possible birth for Maurice (unnamed on birth registration). Just click on the link - you will have to show you’re not a robot  :)

A possibility?

Marriage of Martin Finegan and Maria Murphy:

Perhaps the birth of Maurice?

Yes that’s it I found his baptismal certificate in the Church Records and his parents marriage also. Tyrone Street name was changed to Waterford Street. I’m a friend of Maurice’s grand daughter 👍
