Marriage
« on: Friday 06 July 18 15:59 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone
Can you help me to find a marriage between William Green b. c1825 in Caithness Scotland and Rosanna Borthwick b.1828 Berwick on tweed. In the 1861 census they were living together as  husband and wife. They both died in Ayton .William in 1873 and Rosanna in 1904
Any help appreciated
Thanks Heather

How did you get a surname for rosanna (I can see no kids to them)?

From The Illustrated Berwick Journal 13/12/1856. This looks like an ‘irregular marriage’. If you google Lamberton Toll you will get some background ( similar set up to Gretna Green).
