Oscar FitzGerald born 1.07.1887 in Barton Regis, Glos./Bristol.   Address Barracks, Horfield R.S.D.
Which regiment would his father, Michael  belong to.  Any Info about the Barracks,   Where would I get info re the father.

Hi JJ   / ciderdrinker   Thank you for replying.    Both look very interesting, need to look up re Michael, the father
I know Michael was born in England   then was in the forces in Shambles Barracks, Newbridge, Kildare  where he married, came back to England where Oscar was born.  Michael had a sister born Southampton1845, Catherine.   brothers born Limerick.    Parents seem to travel back and forwards!!!!    Looking in particular for
regiment he was in.    I will look into the Somerset Light Inf.

Michael was son of Thomas /and  Bridget Sheahan, both born LImerick.  unfortunately I dont think
'ciderdrinker' info is correct, but thank you for your interest.
